Proper Human Resources Education
It is important that each module in human resources education is properly administered and evaluated. The PHR exams are very difficult since it consists of 225 questions, 200 of which are situational questions. Once a candidate passes the exam they will be considered as a master of HR practice. When delivering such a test, you must prepare the questions in such a way that you can derive what the candidate has learned in their training. Provide situations where they need to explain what they think the situation is, what are the behaviors shown, and what the solution will be provided they also give an explanation for their solution.
Assessments should tell us what knowledge was learned, the skills they have developed, and if certain behaviors have changed. It is better to know early if there are topics that need to be cleared. You have to get the complete response of each individual so you can take the right action to correct any misapprehensions.
Of course, human resources education does not end with the actual training. You also have to check if the candidate has indeed learned from the sessions and knows how to apply them. Check if there are certain behaviors that have changed. Also know that the candidate may not exhibit the changes immediately since they need to be in a certain situation to use what they have learned in the course.
Provide the trainee and the graduates with the assistance and encouragement they need in order for you to derive the proper assessment for each individual. Perspectives may change once you leave the classroom. Always check on them from time to time and be approachable to your trainees so they can give you the right information to properly assess their current knowledge as HR practitioners. It is important to know that human resource education is more in the application rather than the actual knowledge an individual has.
